Leading a Law Firm to Dominate Google Rankings
The race to outshine others online can be intense when it comes to the legal industry. However, Google doesn’t allow for loopholes, which means the only way upward on the SERPs is to be transparent and straightforward.
Such was the conundrum faced by a law firm operating mostly in the southern part of the USA. We were intrigued by the challenge as soon as we heard from the client. However, what really motivated us was the practice of the law firm and the short time window, which was a welcome challenge and an exciting opportunity.
Right off the bat, we knew that each and every outreach would have to be backed with research-empowered helpful content and that should be enough to bring significant improvements to the client’s rankings.
Case History
Ever since the notorious helpful content update dropped, the website has been having trouble in maintaining its rankings on the SERPs. This also meant a fall in organic traffic, which made the situation even more serious. However, upon the initial audit, we immediately recognized areas of improvement and identified multiple opportunities for better prospects. This meant that even though we would have to conduct our due diligence and follow the core process methodically, getting better rankings with improved organic traffic wasn’t a far cry.
Also, thanks to the initial analysis, we knew that even in the competitive niche of law, we would have significantly positive results in a year. Thus, we began our efforts in January 2024, and the results were easily visible by December of the same year.
The Trial
We knew that getting high-quality backlinks was only the process, not the main objective. This meant that we had to come up with a concrete game plan. Thus, with every factor accounted for and every possible element in sight, the execution of our strategy became a breeze:
- Before anything else, we made sure to point out on-page areas of improvement for our client. This meant that by the time we started outreaching, our client’s website would be working flawlessly.
- Next, we started curating a list of prospect websites that were considered reliable in the legal niche and were known for publishing guest post articles. We also made sure that our list of websites only contained those with a significant readership within the southern United States.
- While outreaching websites from our list, we simultaneously made sure that our client’s website was listed in all the relevant online directories.
- Once everything was up and running, we went a step further to enhance our list by getting in touch with bloggers and influencers to achieve maximum ROI for our clients.
The Verdict
Thanks to our research-backed content and established connections, we got a high number of replies and secured exceptionally relevant backlinks from some of the best prospects in our list.
- Despite Google rolling out multiple updates during the year, we made sure that our client’s climb was so significant that results could be observed even without having a look at statistics.
- While the client’s traffic was only 9,933 at the beginning of the year, our efforts raised it to 29,412 by December, which is a massive 196.1% increase!
- Another main focus for us was to get the client’s website ranking organically for maximum keywords. This is why we also ensured that there was a significant, if not radical, increase in the organic keywords on the first two pages of the SERPs. Thanks to our efforts, the number of organic keywords from positions 1-3 jumped up from 267 to 645 (a 141.58% increase), while the number of organic keywords ranking on positions 4-10 went up from 978 to 2025 (a 107.06% increase).
- Even the organic keywords on positions 11-20 jumped up from 1970 to 2885, which meant a 46.45% increase.
