Guiding a Legal firm to the Top of the SERPs

Google doubling down on websites to provide helpful content has been troubling websites majorly since 2023. With the dilemma of maintaining rankings and so many updates dropping, a law firm reached out to us, a challenge we gladly took up.

Although the firm was quite established and operating in multiple locations in the United States, managing Off-page to rank better on the SERPs became a challenge. Operations in different locations also meant that off-page was required on a semi-local basis, which meant securing powerful links to garner trust from Google. However, even with only a short window to secure results, we knew that Link Building HQ was up for the task at hand.

Case History

The website’s main objective was to maintain and, if possible, increase SERP rankings for its target keywords and traffic. However, the struggle came because the client wanted concrete results within 6 months. This meant that our plan had to accommodate short-run results as well. When we began our efforts in July 2024, we had to ensure results to showcase a positive trajectory by December 2024.

The Trail

With every SEO factor accounted for and the client on board with the plan. We knew that building links for a legal firm was a challenge due to high competition in the niche. However, with a concrete plan with focused elements, execution became easy:

  • Started with a list of authoritative websites that were publishing articles about law and had a local audience for the locations where the firm was operating. 
  • We also pointed a number of areas for the client’s website to improve their on-page. 
  • Next, we made sure that the firm was listed on the relevant online directories.
  • Looked up bloggers who published third-party content and contacted them about their policies so we could create content as per their regulations.

The Verdict:

  • With our outreach personalized for each and every prospect, we were able to secure high-quality backlinks from reputable law blogs and websites.
  • Even with the impact of the March Core update, we made sure that your client’s traffic increased from 21,952 to 23,696, resulting in an almost 8% increase.
  • Finally, we knew that an increase in keyword rankings was imperative for the client. That is why we made sure that there was a major change in the rankings 1-10. Thus, thanks to our efforts, the number of website keywords ranking in positions 1-3 increased from 820 to 923, which was 12.5%. There was an even greater increase in keyword ranking from 4-10, jumping from 2,064 to 2,348, with a 13.75% increase.
